I do not agree with the SOPA act or with websites that offer pirated material. The SOPA act states that the government and copyright holders should seek a court order against websites that are enabling copyright infringed martial. In other words, the Government or Cooperation would have the ability to shut down any website that is suspicious before proven guilty. The sites potential that could be removed are YouTube, Facebook, tumbler, photo bucket and many other sites because they could contain or enable copyright infringed martial. I don’t think that the government is truly realizing the size of this problem. Before the government even considers such an act that could change the face of the internet, they need to ponder all aspects and consequence of this decision and re-decide. What is the whole point of the internet if all these sites get banned? The internet will never be the same again. I believe that one has all the right in the world to protect his legal property, but by going through the legal system before taking action. Now, I will give my opinion on torrents and sites that foster pirated material. They need to be removed because it encourages theft from companies or individuals that put hard work in creating these products. We need to respect others property just as much as we would like others to respect our property.
